Genesis 44:1-34 talk about how Joseph use his silver cup to test his brothers. Judah pleads with Joseph to keep Benjamin.
1. Early morning, Joseph tell e house servant, "Fill di men sack with food, put as much as dem fit carry, and put dia money inside di sack."
2. "Put my silver cup for di small brother sack, plus e money for grain." Di servant do as Joseph talk.
3. Early morning, di brothers take dia load and comot.
4. When dem just comot for city, Joseph tell e servant, "Chase dem, when you catch dem, tell dem, 'Why una pay evil for good?'"
5. "Na dis cup my master take dey drink and take dey see vision. Wetin una do no good."
6. Di servant catch dem and talk di same thing wey Joseph tell am.
7. But di brothers say, "Why you dey talk dis kind thing? We no fit do dis kind bad thing."
8. "Remember say we bring back di money wey we see for sack di first time. Why we go come thief silver or gold from your master house?"
9. "If you see di cup for anybody sack, make di person die, and di rest of us go be slave."
10. Di servant say, "Okay, but na only di person wey dem find di cup for e hand go be slave, di rest fit go free."
11. Dem quickly put dia sack for ground and open am.
12. Di servant search from di eldest to di youngest, and dem find di cup for Benjamin sack.
13. When dem see am, dem tear dia cloth for sorrow, load dia donkey, and go back to di city.
14. Judah and e brothers enter Joseph house, and dem fall for ground for e front.
15. Joseph tell dem, "Why una do dis kind wicked thing? Una no know say I fit see things wey ordinary person no fit see?"
16. Judah say, "Oga, wetin we fit talk? God don expose our sin. We all be your slaves, including di one wey dem find di cup for e hand."
17. But Joseph say, "No! Na only di person wey dem find di cup for e hand go be my slave. Di rest of una fit go back to una papa."
18. Judah come near Joseph and beg am say, "Oga, abeg hear me out. No vex for wetin I wan talk, because you be like king for us."
19. "You ask us if we get papa or another brother."
20. "We tell you say we get old papa and di last-born wey e love well-well, because di boy mama don die. Na only di boy remain, and e papa no wan make anything do am."
21. "But you talk say make we bring am so you go see am with your eye."
22. "We tell you say di boy no fit comot from e papa, if e comot, di papa fit die."
23. "But you talk say if we no bring di boy, make we no show face again."
24. "When we reach house, we tell our papa wetin you talk."
25. "Later, when di food finish, our papa tell us make we go buy more."
26. "We tell am say we no fit go unless Benjamin follow us, because di man talk say make we bring am."
27. "Our papa tell us say, 'Una know say my wife born me only two pikin.'"
28. "'One don lost, and dem talk say wild animal chop am. I never see am again.'"
29. "'If una carry Benjamin go now and anything do am, una go carry my old age enter grave with sorrow.'"
30. "If we go back without di boy, our papa wey love am well-well go just die."
31. "If e see say di boy no come back, sorrow go kill am, and na we go put di old man for grave."
32. "I don promise my papa say I go bring di boy back. If I no do am, make I carry di blame forever."
33. "Abeg, make I remain as slave for your house instead of di boy, and make di boy go back to e papa."
34. "Because if I go back without am, and I see di sorrow for my papa face, e go pain me well-well."
