Genesis 27:1-46 talk about how Jacob, with Rebekah's plan, deceive Isaac to take Esau's blessing, leading to conflict between di brothers.
1. Isaac don old and e eye no dey see well. E call Esau, e firstborn, say, "My pikin!" Esau answer, "I dey here, papa."
2. Isaac tell am, "I don old, and I no sabi di time I go die.
3. Carry your bow and arrow, go bush catch animal for me.
4. Prepare di sweet food wey I like, bring am make I chop, so I fit bless you before I die."
5. Rebekah hear wetin Isaac talk to Esau. As Esau go hunt for bush,
6. Rebekah tell Jacob, "Your papa talk to Esau say make e bring food so dat e go bless am.
7. But listen to me now, my pikin.
8. Go bring me two young goats from di flock; I go use dem prepare di food wey your papa like.
9. You go carry am go give your papa so dat e go bless you before e die."
10. Jacob talk, "Mama, Esau my brother na hairy man, but my skin smooth.
11. If papa touch me, e go know say I dey lie, and instead of blessing, I go collect curse."
12. Rebekah talk, "If curse go come, make e fall on me, my pikin. Just do wetin I tell you."
13. So Jacob go bring di goats, and Rebekah prepare di food.
14. She take Esau fine clothes wey dey di house, put dem for Jacob body.
15. She use di goat skin cover Jacob hand and neck, make e feel like Esau body.
16. Then she give Jacob di food and di bread wey she make.
17. Jacob go meet Isaac, e say, "Papa!" Isaac ask, "Who be dis?"
18. Jacob answer, "Na me, Esau, your firstborn. I don do wetin you tell me. Stand up, chop di food so you fit bless me."
19. Isaac ask, "How you take catch di animal so quick?" Jacob reply, "Na God help me, papa."
20. Isaac say, "Come near make I touch you, my pikin, so I go know if na you, Esau."
21. Jacob go near, Isaac touch am. Isaac say, "Di voice na Jacob own, but di hand be like Esau own."
22. Isaac no sure, so e ask again, but finally e bless Jacob.
23. Isaac chop di food and drink di wine. Then e say, "Come near, my pikin, make I kiss you."
24. As Jacob go near, Isaac smell di clothes. E say, "Di smell of my pikin be like di smell of di field wey God don bless."
25. Isaac bless Jacob say, "God go give you di dew from heaven and di fatness of di earth, plenty grain, and wine.
26. Nations go bow down to you, and your brother go serve you. Anybody wey curse you go dey cursed, and anybody wey bless you go dey blessed."
27. As Jacob waka comot, Esau come back from hunting.
28. E prepare di food and carry go give e papa, "Papa, chop make you bless me."
29. Isaac ask, "Who you be?" Esau answer, "Na me, Esau, your firstborn."
30. Isaac begin shake, "Who be di person wey bring me food before? I don chop am and bless am, and di blessing go stand."
31. Esau cry loud, beg, "Papa, bless me too!"
32. Isaac tell am, "Your brother don come with trick, and e don carry your blessing."
33. Esau vex say, "Jacob don cheat me two times. First, e take my birthright, now e don carry my blessing!"
34. Esau beg Isaac again, "Papa, you no get any blessing remain for me?"
35. Isaac reply, "I don make your brother your master, and I don give am everything."
36. Esau cry, "Papa, na only dis one blessing you get?"
37. Isaac tell am, "You go live by di sword, but you go serve your brother. But when you tire, you fit break di yoke from your neck."
38. Esau begin hate Jacob because of di blessing. E talk say, "When my papa die, I go kill Jacob."
39. Rebekah hear wetin Esau talk, so she tell Jacob, "Your brother wan kill you.
40. Run go my brother Laban house for Haran. Stay there until Esau vex calm down."
41. Rebekah tell Isaac, "I no wan make Jacob marry woman from di Canaan people. Make we send am go marry from my family."
