Genesis 43:1-34 talk about how Jacob send his sons back to Egypt for more food. Joseph give Benjamin special food and tests his brothers' integrity.
1. Di hunger for di land come strong well-well.
2. When dem don finish di food wey dem buy from Egypt, Jacob tell e sons say, "Make una go buy more food for us."
3. But Judah tell am say, "Di man talk say make we no show face again unless we carry our small brother come."
4. "If you gree make Benjamin follow us, we go go buy food."
5. "But if you no gree, we no go go because di man talk say make we no come back if we no carry our small brother."
6. Israel (Jacob) ask dem, "Why una tell di man say una get another brother?"
7. Dem reply, "Di man just dey ask question upon question about we and our family. We no know say e go tell us make we bring Benjamin."
8. Judah tell e papa, "Make di boy follow us, so we no go die because of hunger."
9. "I go take full responsibility for am. If I no bring am back, make you put di blame for my head forever."
10. "If we no dey delay, we for don go and come back by now."
11. So Jacob tell dem, "If na so, make una carry di best things wey dey dis land—small honey, spices, oil, and gift—go give di man."
12. "Carry double money, and return di money wey dem put for una sack."
13. "Carry Benjamin go, and may God Almighty make di man get mercy on una."
14. "If na so God want am, make e happen. But I no want lose all my pikin dem."
15. Di brothers carry di gifts, double money, and Benjamin go Egypt. When dem reach, dem stand before Joseph.
16. When Joseph see Benjamin, e tell di house servant say, "Carry dis men go my house, kill animal, and prepare food because dem go chop with me this afternoon."
17. Di servant do wetin Joseph talk and carry dem go e house.
18. But dem fear because dem think say na di money wey dem see for dia sack di first time make dem carry dem come.
19. So dem go meet Joseph servant say, "Oga, abeg hear us out."
20. "Di first time we come buy food,
21. When we reach house, we see say di money we pay dey inside our sack, so we don carry di money come back."
22. "We even bring extra money to buy food. We no know who put di money for our sack."
23. Di servant tell dem, "Make una no fear. Una God and di God of una papa don bless una. I don collect una money." Then e bring Simeon come out.
24. Di servant carry dem enter Joseph house, give dem water to wash dia leg, and feed dia donkey.
25. Dem arrange dia gifts and wait for Joseph because dem hear say dem go chop with am for afternoon.
26. When Joseph enter, dem give am di gifts and bow down to am.
27. Joseph ask dem, "How una papa dey? Di old man wey una talk about, e still dey alive?"
28. Dem say, "Yes, our papa still dey alive and e dey well." Dem bow down again.
29. When Joseph see Benjamin, e say, "Na dis one be di small brother wey una talk about?" Then e pray for am say, "May God bless you, my pikin."
30. But Joseph heart strong because e love e brother. E run comot go cry for one corner.
31. E wash e face, control himself, and come out. Then e say, "Make dem serve food."
32. Dem serve food for Joseph alone, di Egyptians separate, and di brothers for one side because Egyptians no dey chop with Hebrews.
33. Joseph arrange dem according to age, from di firstborn to di last, and dem surprise well-well.
34. E serve dem food from e own table, but e give Benjamin five times wetin e give others. Dem eat and enjoy di food.
