Exodus 14:1-31 show how God split Red Sea make Israel pass, then drown Pharaoh army when dem try follow.
1. Di Lord talk to Moses say,
2. "Tell di Israelites make dem turn back and camp near Pi Hahiroth, between Migdol and di Red Sea. Camp by di sea."
3. Pharaoh go hear say, ‘Di Israelites don waka into di wilderness,’ and he go think say dem confuse.
4. "I go harden Pharaoh heart, so e go pursue dem. But I go use dat to show my glory over Pharaoh and all e army, and di Egyptians go sabi say I be di Lord."
5. Di king of Egypt hear say di people don run, and Pharaoh and his servants heart change. Dem say, "Why we let Israel go? Dem no go serve us again."
6. So Pharaoh prepare him chariots, take 600 chosen chariots, plus di rest of di chariots of Egypt, and dey all follow di Israelites.
7. Di Lord harden Pharaoh's heart, so e pursue di Israelites with all di army.
8. Di Israelites look back and see Pharaoh army dey chase dem, dem become afraid. Dem cry to di Lord.
9. Dem say to Moses, "Why you bring us come die for di wilderness? Na Egypt we go die? For there no enough graves? Why you bring us comot Egypt to die here?"
10. "We tell you say make we no go. Leave us make we serve di Egyptians, better make we serve dem than die for di wilderness."
11. Moses tell dem say, "Don’t be afraid. Stand still, and you go see di salvation wey di Lord go bring for una today. For di Egyptians wey you see today, you no go see dem again forever."
12. "The Lord go fight for una, make una just hold on tight."
13. Moses stretch out him hand over di sea, and di Lord cause di sea to go back by a strong east wind all night, and make di sea dry land, and di waters divide.
14. Di Israelites go through di sea on dry ground, and di waters dey like wall on their right and left.
15. Di Egyptians pursue dem and follow dem into di sea, all Pharaoh’s horses, chariots and horsemen.
16. In di morning watch, di Lord look down on Pharaoh army from di pillar of fire and cloud, and he threw dem into confusion.
17. He made di wheels of their chariots hard to turn, so that dey drove heavily. Di Egyptians say, "Let us run away from Israel, for di Lord fight for dem against Egypt."
18. Di Lord tell Moses, "Stretch your hand over di sea, so dat di waters go come back on di Egyptians, their chariots, and their horsemen."
19. Moses stretch out him hand over di sea, and by morning di sea return to its full depth. Di Egyptians fled against it, but di Lord overthrew dem in di midst of di sea.
20. Di waters come back and cover all di chariots, di horsemen, and all Pharaoh’s army dat follow dem into di sea. None of dem survive.
21. But di Israelites walk through di sea on dry ground, and di waters was like wall on their right and left.
22. Di Lord save Israel that day from di Egyptians, and di Israelites saw di Egyptians dead on di seashore.
23. When di Israelites saw di mighty hand of di Lord displayed against di Egyptians, dey feared di Lord and put their trust in him and in Moses, his servant.
24. Then Moses and di Israelites sang this song to di Lord:
25. "I will sing to di Lord, for he is highly exalted. Both horse and driver he has hurled into di sea. The Lord is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him."
26. "The Lord is a warrior; di Lord is his name."
27. "Pharaoh’s chariots and his army he has hurled into di sea. Di best of Pharaoh’s officers are drowned in di Red Sea."
28. "The deep waters have covered dem; they sank to di bottom like a stone."
29. "Your right hand, Lord, was majestic in power. Your right hand, Lord, shattered di enemy."
30. "In di greatness of your majesty, you threw down those who opposed you. You unleashed your burning anger; it consumed dem like stubble."
31. "By di blast of your nostrils, di waters piled up. Di surging waters stood firm like a wall; di deep waters congealed in di heart of di sea."
