Genesis 9 talk about how Noah make covenant with God after di flood. God promise never to destroy di earth again, using rainbow as sign.
1. God bless Noah and him pikin dem, and he tell dem, “Make una go, make una born plenty, make una full ground.
2. All di animals for di earth, all di birds for sky, all di things wey dey move for ground, and all di fish for water go fear and respect una hand; na me don give dem to una.
3. Just as I give una green plants, I don now give una everything to chop.
4. But make una no chop meat wey still get blood inside, because di blood na life.
5. I go ask for blood from anybody or animal wey kill another person, and I go punish dem; I go hold every person accountable if dem shed another person blood.
6. Anybody wey shed another person blood, other people go shed that person blood, because God make man in him own image.
7. As for una, make una go and born plenty, make una increase for di earth, and full everywhere.”
8. Then God talk to Noah and him pikin dem wey dey with am.
9. He say, “I dey make my covenant with una and with una pikin dem wey go come after una,
10. and with all di living things wey dey with una—di birds, di livestock, and all di wild animals—for all di creatures wey come out of di ark with una.
11. I dey make dis covenant say I no go ever destroy all living things again with flood, and no more flood go cover di earth again.”
12. And God say, “Dis na di sign of di covenant wey I dey make between me and una and every living creature wey dey with una, for all generations to come.
13. I go put my rainbow for di clouds, and e go be di sign of di covenant between me and di earth.
14. When I gather cloud over di earth, di rainbow go appear for di clouds,
15. and I go remember my covenant between me and una and every living thing wey get life, and di water no go ever become flood to destroy all living things again.
16. Anytime di rainbow appear for di clouds, I go see am and remember di everlasting covenant between God and every living creature for di earth.”
17. So God tell Noah, “Dis na di sign of di covenant wey I don establish between me and all di things wey dey for di earth.”
18. Di sons of Noah wey come out of di ark na Shem, Ham, and Japheth. (Ham na di papa of Canaan.)
19. These three na di sons of Noah, and from dem, all di people for di earth spread.
20. Noah begin farm after di flood, and he plant vineyard.
21. One day, Noah drink di wine wey e make, and he drunk, he come lie down naked inside him tent.
22. Ham, di papa of Canaan, see say him papa naked, so he go tell him two brothers wey dey outside.
23. But Shem and Japheth carry cloth, put am for dem shoulder, and dem waka backward go cover dem papa body. As dem cover am, dem no look dem papa nakedness.
24. When Noah wake up from him wine, he know wetin him youngest pikin do am,
25. so he say, “Cursed be Canaan! E go be servant to him brothers dem.”
26. Noah say, “Blessed be di Lord, di God of Shem! Make Canaan be him servant.
27. Make God give Japheth plenty territory; make him dwell for di tents of Shem, and make Canaan be him servant.”
28. After di flood, Noah live 350 years more.
29. Noah die when he be 950 years old.
